My Practice

Resonate Counselling was born from a belief that people should make choices that truly resonate with them. Throughout my career, I have encouraged clients to explore the options before them and to make decisions that align with their values, needs, and individuality. To live authentically means honouring what feels right, what truly resonates.

The name Resonate Counselling wasn’t chosen on a whim; it has been woven into my practice for years. Little “easter eggs” of this philosophy have been present throughout my sessions, gently reinforcing the idea that personal growth and healing come from choices that reflect who we are at our core. When we trust ourselves and make choices that align with who we truly are, we find clarity, confidence, and fulfillment. This belief continues with the opening of Resonate Counselling, offering a space where individuals can navigate life’s challenges while staying true to themselves.

My Approach

I’m Ryann Simpson, a Registered Social Worker and counsellor based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with five years of counselling experience across public and private sectors. I provide virtual therapy to clients throughout Saskatchewan and Ontario, supporting individual adults and couples as they navigate life’s complexities.

My counselling work focuses on high-functioning, self-reflective individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, and stress across personal and professional domains. I often work with clients who appear to be coping well externally but feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or disconnected internally. Therapy offers a space to develop insight, strengthen coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

I take a collaborative and adaptable approach, integrating structured, evidence-based counselling with deeper emotional processing, tailored to each client’s goals. My experience includes private practice with adults, couples, and youth; hospital-based adult mental health counselling; and rehabilitation-focused counselling for motor vehicle accidents, supporting recovery alongside legal and insurance processes. My work is grounded in compassion, accountability, and growth, supporting clients in building self-awareness, emotional clarity, and sustainable change.

I consider myself a “toolbox therapist.” While meaningful conversations matter, therapy should also equip you with practical skills, tools, and confidence you can use beyond the therapy room. My sessions are approachable and engaging, combining solution-focused strategies, thoughtful reflection, and a healthy dose of humour. I strive to create a space that feels comfortable, collaborative, and personalized, where clients feel supported while working toward meaningful change.

About Me

Outside of therapy, I’m a lifelong learner who loves traveling, collecting vinyl, and getting lost in deep research rabbit holes; whether it’s the latest in psychology or neuroscience, the evolution of music and pop culture, or the fascinating ways history and human behaviour shape our world. I’m inspired by creativity, self-expression, and authenticity.

As a deep feeler and thinker, I’m naturally drawn to experiences and people who embrace reflection, curiosity, and meaningful connection, qualities I carry into my work with clients, creating a space that values both insight and genuine human connection.
