About Resonate Counselling
Resonate Counselling was born from a belief that people should make choices that truly resonate with them. Throughout my career, I have encouraged clients to explore the options before them and to make decisions that align with their values, needs, and individuality. To live authentically means honouring what feels right, what truly resonates.
The name Resonate Counselling wasn’t chosen on a whim; it has been woven into my practice for years. Little “easter eggs” of this philosophy have been present throughout my sessions, gently reinforcing the idea that personal growth and healing come from choices that reflect who we are at our core. When we trust ourselves and make choices that align with who we truly are, we find clarity, confidence, and fulfillment. This belief continues with the opening of Resonate Counselling, offering a space where individuals can navigate life’s challenges while staying true to themselves.

About Me
I’m Ryann Simpson, a registered social worker and counsellor based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with four years of experience in counselling in both private and public sectors. I provide virtual therapy to clients across Saskatchewan and Ontario, specializing in working with individual adults and couples navigating life complexities. My specialties are listed on the services page of my website. My approach is results-driven, adaptable, and tailored to your unique needs, whether you’re looking for structured strategies or a supportive space to process life’s challenges, I meet you where you are at.
I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Regina in 2021. I hold certifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), allowing me to integrate different evidence-based approaches to best support you. My background also includes experience as a motor vehicle accident (MVA) therapist, medical social worker, youth support worker, as well as a case manager in inpatient and outpatient mental health and addictions, giving me a strong understanding of both clinical and community-based care.

I consider myself a "toolbox therapist" because while deep conversations matter, I believe therapy should also equip you with the skills, tools, and confidence to navigate life outside of the therapy room. My goal is to make sessions approachable, engaging, and useful, through the use of solution-focused strategies, deep reflection, and a healthy dose of humour. With experience supporting diverse clients in various life circumstances, I strive to create a space that feels comfortable, effective, and personalized. I’m truly passionate about the work I do, and I find deep fulfillment in helping clients navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
Outside of therapy, I’m a lifelong learner who loves traveling, collecting vinyl, and getting lost in deep research rabbit holes, whether it’s the latest in psychology or neuroscience, the evolution of music and pop culture, or the fascinating ways history and human behaviour shapes our world. If you're interested in working together, I’d love to chat! Feel free to book a free 15-minute consultation through my website.
